Engineering Seminar & Hands-On Workshop with Viega

  • Details: Join us on Monday, April 7th from 5-8 pm at the Viega Experience Center for a collaborative event with Viega and the Women of ASPE (American Society of Plumbing Engineers)! Doors will open at 4 pm. The event will feature presentations on press technology, women in plumbing engineering, and a hands-on demonstration/activity where you can make a bottle opener. This is our first collaboration with Viega and we are very excited! Hope to see you there!

SWE Founder’s Day Celebration: 75 Years of Innovation and Advocacy

  • Time: 6:00 to 8:00 pm
  • Location: The Cooper Union Great Hall, 7 E 7th Street
  • Details: We’re heading to the college that hosted SWE’s founding meeting 75 years ago — The Cooper Union in New York City — for our Founder’s Day Celebration this May! This special milestone event will honor our history, celebrate our accomplishments, and share a vision for our future. Join us on May 6 for this free event, featuring a keynote from astronaut and TikTok star Kellie Girardi. Girardi is a bioastronautics researcher, popular science communicator, and author who currently serves as the director of human spaceflight operations for the International Institute for Astronautical Sciences (IIAS). Please note that this is an event hosted by Society-level SWE and not SWE New York. However, given the celebration will be taking place in NYC, many SWE New York board members will be in attendance!
